Yellowstone County News, Huntley Montana
This is a test but I’m not sure how many people know that the Yellowstone County News is on the www.HuntleyProject.net website. The website was launched in June 2008 in conjunction with the Yellowstone County News to provide an online source for information in the Huntley Project area. The website was intended to be low key but the response from the community has exponentially exploded and more plans are in order to improve it’s search engine relevency and more.
As of January 2009, the Huntley project website is the number one website for the Huntley project area. As it has taken time for it to get noticed, major websites out of Billings, MT and individuals interested in the Huntley Project area refer to the website for additional info whether it be the news, attractions, or annaul events that take place like Homesteader Days, Clark on the Yellowstone Days, or the Threshing Bee. Either way, the website is gaining notoriety and is gaining in search engines for other key words like Huntley Project high School, especially after the fire that burned the high school down.
Now the Yellowstone County News news online is not the only thing that is updated and sent to the masses. There are also upcoming events from big community events to smaller weekly school events. There are major events that the Huntley Project area sponsors and seems to attract big crowds like the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band during the Homesteader Days in July as well as the parade. So stay tuned as more information is released on the website. It seems that more businesses see the need to belong to the website, so if your looking to be noticed in the Huntley Project area, contact them and see what the website can do for you.
One of the new ideas being thrown around in cyberspace about the website is an active blog but the newest developement for the website will recieve is the overhaul it will take this next year. As the format is a little out of date, it’s important to stay with the changing times so look forward to rss feeds that are sent out along with renewed look and feel. It will try to stay the same formatt to a point but changes will have to be made. However, the launch of the website has become, according to many, a great resource for the community and will likely get better as time and cyberspace continue.
